Description, duties, responsibilities
The licensed A&P Mechanic position will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the assigned program and will inspect, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft and aircraft engines. In addition, the licensed A&P Mechanic (SME) will repair, replace and rebuild aircraft and components in accordance with approved technical data, perform aircraft servicing return-to-service and comply with launch, recovery and ramp operations.

•Demonstrates ability to evaluate and troubleshoot aircraft systems.
•Adheres to Safety and Compliance policies and procedures.
•Consistently meets all requirements for skill, product reliability and appearance.
•Performs assigned duties with sustained accuracy, speed, and quality.
•Aware of the duties and responsibilities of an Aircraft Mechanic.
•Capable of acquiring and applying technical information.
•Works in cooperation with others to advance company goals. Helps promote a positive team attitude.
•Train and mentor less experienced technical staff.
•Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
Required Experience: Six (6) or more years of related experience consisting of:
•Two (2) years of experience performing maintenance and servicing on Beechcraft 400 or T-1A type aircraft.
•Experience working with military-type technical data including working cards, job guides, and checklists.
•Experience performing flight line launch and recovery operations.
•Experience performing engine runs and taxi operations.
•Sheet metal experience preferred.
•Organization and planning
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Two (2) years of technical school or equivalent.
•A&P License (required)
The A&P Mechanic SME position requires a pre-employment background check, negative drug/alcohol screen and a physical exam. In addition, this position is subject to periodic, random drug/alcohol screens and must have a renewed physical exam every five (5) years.
