The Information Assurance Systems Engineer will support security design on government and commercial communications programs. You will provide technical support and oversight as part of a program teams system engineering effort for Information Assurance design and development. Your background in systems architecture will allow you to play a key role in security architecture analysis security requirements definition and allocation and identification of potential security vulnerabilities. You will be responsible for generating security-related documentation and leading system architecture design in a team environment. Your background in high assurance COMSEC and COMPUSEC requirements and techniques will be invaluable to support interfacing with customers for new security related business development including proposals white papers and presentations.
+ 10+ years experience with system security requirements architecture design interface development and test approach of NSA Type 1 FIPS 140-2 or Common Criteria evaluated systems.
+ 3+ years experience with NSA FIPS 140-2 or Common Criteria certification and documentation requirements (e.g. UIC IASRD TOE SED TDO TOC etc.)
+ 2+ years of experience interacting directly with various stake holder with a preference for security evaluators or their designated representatives to vet potential solutions and negotiate compliance to system requirements with a preference for security requirements in order to resolve issues and conflicts.
+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to simplify findings to brief management and customers
+ Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering or relevant technical discipline; or equivalent technical experience
+ Up to 10% Travel
+ US citizenship required with the ability to get up to a top secret security clearance
+ Experience with both engineering development of secure communication products as well as certification and accreditation

It provides a convenient location to support many of our customers and houses top technical talent supporting programs across the company. We are located just minutes from downtown Baltimores Inner Harbor and the surrounding areas offering arts entertainment sports and educational opportunities. Roughly 30 miles in the opposite direction is the nations capital Washington DC with all it has to offer visitors including national monuments and museums. There are additional nearby attractions such as historic downtown Annapolis the US Naval Academy and the Chesapeake Bay.
