Job Responsibilities

As part of a team of experienced individuals you will help design develop and test ViaSats airborne Antenna Systems and Terminals. With your flexibility to perform in dynamic work environments and strong personal ownership of your work this may be the perfect role for you to continue the growth of your career. Your solid background in designing testing and documenting the interfaces between and within major assemblies on antenna systems and your ability to prepare test plans and procedures will ensure your success in this role. Your expertise will be utilized as you participate in selection of installation subcontractors as well as provide oversight during qualification activities. Your ability to maintain good customer relations while representing ViaSat will safeguard the overall achievements of the program. You will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting assemblies and/or final systems prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. You will also direct the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment to include BER Group Delay G/T Servo response testing among others.
Requirements
+ 5+ years of experience in the design and/or assembly of RF systems AC/DC circuits Servo motor controls and/or base-band equipment.
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements develop test plans/procedures and document test results is required.
+ Must be able to work independently and solve complex problems
+ Successful experience in actively maintaining good customer relations is essential.
+ Experienced in the operation of some or all of the following equipment: Multi-meter Oscilloscope Spectrum Analyzer Signal Generator and Network Analyzer.
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or have equivalent experience.
+ US Government position. US Citizenship required.
+ Travel up to 25% domestic and international.
Preferences
+ Experience in Cable Design and Documentation
+ Demonstrated experience with airborne communication systems aviation systems or other military or commercial systems.
+ System level Testing Troubleshooting of large aperture antenna systems.
+ Experience with system level analysis of RF and Servo sections of antenna systems.
