Traffic Engineering Lead

As Traffic Engineering Lead you will leverage your exceptional problem-solving skills in a team setting exercise strong technical judgement as well as support/develop the business strategy.
Youll be responsible for leading a cross-functional group of engineers working on traffic engineer issues on a large and complex service provider network with residential mobile enterprise customers. Youll need to coordinate between capacity planning DevOps teams. Given the importance of this role it has executive level visibility.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders on developing the best network resource management approaches
+ Demonstrated ability to lead a team/teams in an efficient manner to produce results
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to interact effectively with varying levels of positions from individual contributors up to senior executives of the company
+ Strong presentation skills as evidenced by compelling logical and persuasive speaking across a mixture of audiences
+ Work to develop simulation models and ensure consistency with the resource management approaches
+ Work with DevOps teams across different time zones to deploy the strategies developed into the network
+ Monitor traffic patterns on the network and ensure that the network behaves as planned
+ Monitor ongoing trends on the Internet and understand the impact of the application traffic on our network
+ A track record of having worked in a complex team with a record of operational experience
+ 5+ years in statistics networking transportation or operations research specializing in statistical data analysis random processes networks and optimization in large-scale systems congestion control fair resource allocation etc.
+ Familiarity with tools such as queuing theory network calculus etc. is required
+ Familiarity with network performance measurement standards and approaches
+ Service provider network operations experience is desirable but not required
+ Programming skills in one or more languages (C/C++ Python Java Matlab)
+ Familiarity with tools such as R SAS Matlab Tableau would be important
+ M.S in Engineering Computer Science Statistics or Operations Research required. PhD desirable.
