In this key Corporate Quality role you will be focusing on our Flight Hardware where you will lead the Mission Assurance effort for a Satellite program. You will work with other Mission Assurance engineers on the program and coordinate their efforts. You will support the program during all aspects of hardware design development and deployment. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to work cross functionally with Engineering and Manufacturing and Contract Manufactures to resolve problems down to their root cause. You will chair the FRACAS for the program and report to the team the state of all failures incurred during fabrication integration and testing. You will support all program development meetings PMR TIM PDR CDR MRR and TRRs as needed. In this exciting and dynamic role you will have the opportunity to work with and travel to suppliers fabricating program hardware as warranted. Your analytical and communication skills will be key as you resolve internal and external quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
+ 10+ years of experience working with space programs in a Quality Engineer Role
+ Familiarity with all aspects of implementing and executing a Mission Assurance plan for a space program.
+ Familiarity with GSFC 320-MAR-1001B or Aerospace TOR 2011(8591)-21 for developing and deploying a mission assurance plan.
+ Experience performing all aspects of failure investigations and FRACAS.
+ Working knowledge of Contamination Control.
+ Working knowledge of ISO-14644 or FED-STD-209.
+ Knowledge of IEST-STD-1246CC for contamination determination and how to keep space flight hardware clean.
+ Working knowledge of PLM Tool (such as Agile) as well as ERP system (such as Oracle).
+ Advanced Microsoft Office computer skills to compute and compile necessary data and to present data in various forms for recording reporting and presentations.
+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education.
+ US Government position. US Citizenship required.
+ Up to 25% domestic and international travel.
+ Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance to work classified programs.
Preferences
+ Working knowledge of all aspects of parts engineering. Candidate shall have a working knowledge of GSFC EEE-INST-002 JPL D23084 MIL-PRF-38534 MIL-PRF-38535 and other part pertinent specifications.
+ Well versed in GD&T
+ Lean Six Sigma (with belt certification).
+ Application of statistical process control (SPC).
+ Working knowledge of Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA).
+ Must display autonomy (ability to work independently with minimal supervision).
+ Must be detail oriented (ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task).
+ Demonstrate technical aptitude (ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information)
