ViaSats Government Systems Division is looking to add a Financial Analyst with government experience to join our already successful team at ViaSat. The position supports the Finance organization and the business area General Manager and will interface heavily with the program management group and other functional organizations including the accounting group to ensure thorough financial management for the business unit. This role includes a broad scope of work covering all financial aspects of the business from proposal preparation to forecasting and reporting and nearly everything in between. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Support the business area management team and ViaSats finance organization in financial control for the business unit.
+ Focus on project financial management.
+ Generate program estimates to complete and track progress.
+ Prepare business unit financial plans and budgets.
+ Monitor analyze and report actual results against project and division operating plans for bookings sales margins receivables inventory capital headcount etc. Support proposal preparation. Perform monthly accounting close process and related reporting for the division.
+ Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting Finance or related field.
+ Strong analytical problem solving and interpersonal communication skills needed.
+ Solid time management organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to work with limited supervision.
+ Proven ability to work successfully in a team-based environment is a must.
+ Project accounting and/or government contract accounting experience.
+ Knowledge of GAAP accounting.
+ Background in Financial ERP systems needed
+ High energy level self-starter and results-oriented.
+ U.S. Citizen or permanent resident required.
+ Ability to travel up to 10%
+ Masters degree in Accounting or Finance
+ Experience in Oracle
