Airport Operations Manager Duties

Responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily operations of the Airport including tenant customer relations maintenance inspections monitoring construction and development project oversight. Ensures contractual compliance for all airport tenants and activities. Receives and provides information to prospective tenants for development. Serves as City Airport representative at Airport events and functions and coordinates city requirements for those events. Makes recommendations for Airport operations and capital improvements. Ensures compliance with local state and federal regulations and mandates. Formulates annual airport operating budget. Operates under general supervision and reports to the Director of Public Works.


Requirements Include:
A Bachelor's Degree in business administration aviation or a related field required (may substitute additional directly related experience at 2 years of experience for each year of college). A minimum of 4-6 years related progressively responsible aviation experience is required with municipal airport operations experience preferred. A valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record is required. Must have thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation regulations parts 77 107 139 and 150; and knowledge of weather and NOTAM terminology used in Airport operations. Knowledge of airport emergency operations and security regulations required. Effective communication skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships with Aviation representatives tenants governmental agencies and employees required. Knowledge of basic management skills and computer skills required.
